I rarely review restaurants but this is exceptional. The chef is an artist! Beautiful and delicious food. The green tea cheesecake is a must.

Great atmosphere! We know one of the servers and she suggested the Carolina Rolls appetizer. It isn't on the menu and it was fantastic!! I highly recommend. It's spicy in just the right amount and the flavors melded together in just the right way. It made me excited to taste the food! Hubby had the combination fried rice and the wonton soup. He enjoyed them both. He has he eaten fried rice many places and this was some of the best he's had. He said it tasted very fresh; everything did! I had the Mori A with a Dragon roll and a salad. The Dragon roll had great flavor and crunch. The presentation was very nice and the rolls were cut into perfect bite sized pieces. We will definitely be returning here. - Kimmy B.

I found Volcanic because they were the only sushi place open on my delivery app the day I finally decided to break my 17 day cooking streak and get restaurant food. I am SO happy that I did because I will definitely be a repeat customer and will come in to the real location once things return to normal. My regular order there, which I've had delivered twice now, is the salmon tartare and a Mark II roll. The salmon tartare is pure happiness, raw fish mixed with sriracha and I'm not sure what else, something sweet, and served with avocado chunks. I've also enjoyed the Wok Beef from them, which is very flavorful and tender (warning if you are not a mushroom fan: I'm pretty sure the mushrooms in it were not in the description. I, on the other hand, adored them, but some of my nearest and dearest hate mushrooms so for their sake I think mushrooms should be mentioned on menus. But they are delicious!) - Sonya S.

Used to live close by this location, decided on a whim to try patronize the establishment tonight with my girlfriend and her two year old son. Very child friendly! Felt at home with several other families and their young children. Fresh coconut water, crab rangoon, Tom Kah Gai (which was recommended by our amazing server, Saudia, and was fabulous!), four excellent rolls, and the chicken teriyaki children's dish. - Neil Greishaw

First time here and this place is amazing. Sushi was fresh and didn’t fall apart when picked up (sign of a professional roll). The service here was also really great. Felipe, my server, gave me a warm welcome and was very attentive as well as informative. The Walter's Special toll is absolutely scrumptious! After my meal, Felipe made recommendations dessert because I was having trouble choosing. His suggestion of getting the green tea cheesecake was spot in. It is delicious, smooth and creamy, and flavorful. Even the presentation with raspberry sauce, matcha powder, powdered sugar, an an orchid blossom was delightful. This is a quaint restaurant. The owners say they tried to represent the Pacific islands and all of the Asian cuisines, but only have their best dishes for each. The menu confirms this. The selection is smaller but I have to say the ones I've tried are very good. Makes sense since their executive chef did well on Iron Chef. These guys try to keep the art in culinary art. The food tastes like it should be more expensive but they saved you some money with the less expensive ambience - Feng Yu
